10 Ways Daddy’s Love Empowers His Daughters

There’s nothing like the healthy love of a father! Research has shown that the love of an active, present father has the capabilities of empowering a young girl in so many ways from childhood into adulthood.

Gary Thomas, author of Sacred Parenting says, “A young women’s relationship with her father has a significant impact on her view of men, her view of God and her view of herself”. When it comes to the father-daughter relationship, Daddy’s involvement is influential and has an impact on his daughter in ways immeasurable. Let's chat about 10 of those ways ...

1. Daddy's love creates in her a healthy sense of self worth
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” ~ Psalm 139:14

She knows that she is absolutely amazing because she is her Daddy’s daughter. She was crested in His image and He only makes beautiful things.

2. Daddy’s love gives her the confidence to know that she can accomplish anything.
“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength” ~ Philippians 4:13

She knows that with her Daddy in her corner cheering her on and helping her along the way, whatever she has and where she is, she can accomplish and make it through anything.

3. Daddy’s love creates in her emotional stability.
“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the steam. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” ~ Jeremiah 17:8

She knows that there’s a difference between being an emotional being and being emotionally unstable. It’s ok to feel the feelings she feels and experience the emotions she has without letting them control her or run her life. She understand that her emotional stability comes from focusing on her Daddy and not a particular situation or circumstance.

4. Daddy’s love encourages her to build & maintain healthy relationships.
“A new command I have you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” ~ John 13:34

Daddy’s love sets the stage for how all relationships should work. Not just romantic relationships, but those between family members, friends, coworkers, and more. By paying attention to how He treats and properly loves on her, His daughter learns how to properly treat and love on others.

5. Daddy’s love strengthens her ability to bounce back from life’s setbacks.
“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”. ~ I Corinthians 15:57

Daddy literally died and then came back to life 3 days later when everyone thought it was a wrap. He did that because of His love for His daughters; so he could have the most special Father Daughter relationship possible. Because He did that, she knows that she can bounce back from and overcome any setback or obstacle in her life.

6. Daddy’s love gives her the strength to be open, honest and vulnerable so that she can truly grow.
“The Lord is close to all who call on Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth.” ~ Psalm 145:18

She knows she can come to her Daddy and be completely free and unashamed. She knows she can trust her Daddy with her innermost thoughts, feelings and emotions in that He won’t expose her or make her feel ashamed, but will take her openness and help her process, heal and become better.

7. Daddy’s love reminds her that she’s never alone even when she feels that way at times.
“Be strong. Be brave. Be fearless. You are never alone." ~ Joshua 1:9

No explanation needed.

8. Daddy’s love empowers her to better love the skin He’s placed her in.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” ~ Ephesians 2:10

She knows that she is beautiful both inside and out because her Daddy has let her know how much of a one of a kind masterpiece she is.

9. Daddy’s love lets her know that she’s always accepted.
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” ~ Romans 15:7

She doesn’t depend on the approval of people because Daddy has always made her feel accepted just the way she is.

10. Daddy’s love sets the standard for her future relationship with her husband.
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” ~ Ephesians 5:25

Her Daddy sets the bar as high as possible. She feels affirmed, encouraged, accepted, supported, and so much more from her Daddy to the point where any potential mate of hers will have to have a heart to try to match this love in order to be with her.
